Maplestory New Job: Mercedes

Looks are deceiving, extremely deceiving. Its appearance pertains to that of a 8 year old girl whose fantasies lie in rainbows and unicorns however its devastating attacks beg to differ. With the introduction of the "Legend" update in Korean Maplestory, Nexon has introduced three new classes to Maplestory: the Cannon Shooter, Mercedes and the Demon Slayer. I've already covered the Cannon Shooter and Demon Slayer therefore today I'm going to be outlining all the skills and providing an in-depth scoop of the heavily-anticipated Mercedes class. Mercedes is going to be the Archer hero class and one of its unique features is that it dual-wields crossbows. It's got incredible mobility that resembles a dual blade combined with lightning fast attacks that result in a powerful class. Below are all the skills.

All the skill's effects, damage, cost etc. will be listed in bold and will be the max level effect.

Mercedes Beginner Job:

Elf's Recovery
Using the power of nature and its purified energy, recover your HP and MP continually. Every 4 seconds, recover 10% of your HP and MP

Stylish Move
Quickly move up a ladder or rope. Key combination: ↑ + jump.

Speed Mastery
Elves are born with heightened agility and attacking speed. Increases attacking speed by 1, speed by 10, and jump by 20

Elf’s Blessing
With the blessing of the ancient elves, you can return to Eurel and also permanently gain 10% experience. Return to Eurel (cooldown is 1800 seconds), gain 10% extra experience

Mercedes 1st Job:

Speed Dualshot
Shoots arrows at many enemies in front of you. MP Cost: 14, Max Monsters Hit: 3, Damage: 115% , Number of Hits: 2

Potential Power
Permanently increase your latent potential. Increases speed, maximum speed, and provides a fixed chance to avoid enemy attacks. Speed: +30, Maximum Speed: 165, Evasion Rate: +20%

Acrobatic Jump
While in mid-air, jump again to glide forward. As the skill level increases, distance traveled improves. MP Cost: 10, Jump a fixed distance

Sharp Aiming
Permanently increases critical chance. Critical Hit Rate: +40%

Mercedes 2nd Job:

Cross Piercing
Use the force of nature to repeatedly shoot a sharp arrow. Can pierce through enemies. MP Cost: 24, Max Monsters Hit: 6, Damage: 83%, Hits: 2

Charge Drive
Make enemies in front of you slide, and then knock them into the air. Enemies in the air will take extra damage. MP Cost: 25, Max Monsters Hit: 8, Rushing Damage: 130%, Tossing Damage: 210%, Extra Damage (to airborne enemies): 30%

Dual Bowgun Booster
Using MP, Duration: increases the attack speed of your Dual Bows by two levels. MP Cost: 11, Duration: 200 sec

Soul Purify
Recover HP and MP from damage done to enemies. Maximum HP and MP recovered cannot exceed 10% of your max HP or MP.  MP Cost: 45, Duration: 180 sec, Recover 5% of Damage dealt as HP

Final Shot
Shoot arrows wildly at monsters knocked into the air by Charge Drive. Can only be used after Charge Drive. Required Skill: Charge Drive Level 1. MP Cost: 16, Maximum Monsters Hit: 8, Damage: 75%, Number of Hits: 4, Extra damage (to airborne enemies): 20%

Dual Bowgun Mastery
Increases the weapon mastery and accuracy of dual bowguns. Dual Bowgun Mastery: +50%, Accuracy: +120

Final Attack: Dual Bowgun 
Grants a chance to deal additional damage after an attack. Must have a dual bowgun equipped. Required Skill: Dual Bowgun Mastery Level 3. Proc Rate: 40%, Damage: 150%

Physical Training
Permanently increases strength and dexterity. Strength: +30, Dexterity: +30 

Mercedes 3rd Job:

Strike Dualshot
Shoot extremely fast arrows at multiple targets in front of you, with a chance of stunning them. MP Cost: 35, Max Monsters Hit: 4, Damage: 126%, Number of Hits: 4, Stun Chance: 80%, Stun Duration: 6 sec

Leaf Tornado
While jumping, rotate your body while randomly shoot arrows in every direction. Requires at least 120 Jump to activate, and can only be used in mid-air. MP Cost: 45, Max Monsters Hit: 8, Damage: 135%, Number of Hits: 4

Unicorn Spike
Summon a holy unicorn to attack enemies in front of you. Enemies hit will suffer a Weakening effect, increasing damage dealt on the monster by all party members. MP Cost: 62, Max Monsters Hit: 8, Damage: 150%, Number of Hits: 5 Weakening Chance: 95%, Duration: 15 sec, Damage Increase: 15%, Maximum Number of Attacks Affected: 10

Gust Drive  
Use the power of wind to quickly dive downwards from the air, attacking monsters in range. Weakened monsters will take extra damage. Requires at least 120% Jump. MP Cost: 45, Max Monsters Hit: 6, Damage: 190%, Number of Hits: 3, Extra Damage to Weakened Monsters: 20% 

Ignis Lore
Permanently increases chance to evade enemy attacks. Using the power of the fire spirit, increase your attack. Active Effect: MP Cost: 60, Duration: 180sec, Weapon Attack +40, Passive Effect: Evasion Rate: +20% 

Water Shield
Borrow the power of the water spirit to create a barrier for yourself. Absorbs a certain amount of damage, as well as providing resistance towards Status Effects and all Elements. MP Cost: 100, Duration: 180 sec, Damage Absorbed: 30% Status Effect and Element Resistance: +25% 

Lightning Flare
Attack with a strong electrical attack with Charge Drive. Useable after Charge Drive, this skill has a fixed chance to instantly kill an enemy. Along with this, Charge Drive receives a passive damage increase from this skill. Required Skill: Final Shot Level 5. Active Effect: MP Cost: 32, Max Monsters Hit: 8, Damage: 150%, Number of Hits: 4, Instant Death Chance: 15%, Passive Effect: Charge Drive Damage: +30%

Elemental Knight
Summon a spirit to fight for you. The spirits will attack the same monster as the user until that monster has died, and will then stop. MP Cost: 60, Duration: 180, Damage: 120%, Summons up to 3 Spirits

Mercedes 4th Job:

Ring of Ishtar
Borrow the power of the legendary weapon Ishtar to rapidly fire arrows. Holding down the attacking key will rapidly fire arrows. While doing this, it is possible to move slowly by pressing the direction keys. Pre-requisite: Level 20 Strike Dualshot. MP Cost: 10, Damage: 220%

Legendary Spear
Jump and simultaneously summon the Legendary Spear, attacking enemies in front of you with a throw. Monsters hit will have their defense decreased. This skill has 100% Critical Hit Rate. Pre-requisite: Level 10 Leaf Tornado. MP Cost: 60, Max Monsters Hit: 8, Damage: 572%, Number of Hits: 2, Duration: 15 sec, Defense Reduced: 20%, Cooldown Time: 5 sec

Using both Dual Bowguns, snipe two enemies in front of you, causing instant death. Boss monsters are unaffected by the instant death effect, and instead take a fatal amount damage. MP Cost: 50, Instantly KOs 2 Regular Monsters, Damage: 1200% to Boss Monsters, Number of Hits: 4, Cooldown Time: 10 sec

Ancient Spirit
Receive the Ancient Spirit’s blessings, increasing Damage, Critical Hit Rate, and passively improving Potential Power’s Evasion rate. Active Effect: MP Cost: 80, Duration: 210 sec, Damage: +30%, Critical Hit Rate: +15%, Passive Effect: Ignis Lore’s Evasion Rate +20%

Maple Hero
Increases the stats of all party members.  MP Cost: 70, Duration: 900 sec, All Stats: +15%

Hero’s Will
Cures you from being Seduced. The cooldown decreases as the skill level increases. MP Cost: 30, Cooldown Time: 360 sec

Dual Bowgun Expert  
Increases Dual Bowgun Mastery, Weapon Attack, and Minimum Critical Damage. Required Skill: Dual Bowgun Mastery Level 20.  Dual Bowgun Mastery: +70%, Weapon ATT: +30, Minimum Critical Damage: +15%

Defense Break
When attacking, there is a chance to ignore all of a monster’s defense. This applies equally to Boss Monsters. 30% chance to ignore 100% of a monster’s defense

High Kick Demolition
After knocking a monster into the air with Charge Drive, attacking with blindly speed in midair. Required Skill: Lightning Flare Level 15. Active Effect: MP Cost: 22, Max Monsters Hit: 8, Damage: 147%, Number of Hits: 6, Passive Effect: Charge Drive Damage +50%

Advanced Final Attack
Permanently increase weapon attack and accuracy, as well as Final Attack’s activation rate and damage. Required Skill: Final Attack Level 20. Weapon ATT: +20, Accuracy: +10%, Proc Rate: 70%, Damage: 210%

Here's one last interesting fact about this class. Instead of a shield slot, they receive a "Magic Arrow" slot which equips (you guessed it) magical arrows. Who cares, right? Wrong, it provides infinite arrows and most importantly it can be potentialed!

  2. Yeah, this is just pretty much ripping on the Wild Hunter, and the skills are terrible
    Who would want to go a ladder faster?
    I mean, seriously? And teleporting to Eurel and getting 10% exp, try thinking a lil harder, hmm Nexon?

  5. As soon as the files are available in KMS files I will extract and translate them hopefully ASAP.

    Yes, Nexon owns KMS and this WILL be released around 5-6 months prior to GMS' release (these classes are being released this month for KMS). GMS players will probably receive them in December.

  9. Almost forgot to comment about how good the skills are:
    They look epic and have many skills that boost a huge amount of the Mercedes are even better.
    They are almost like Mechs how they also have permanent skills that boost damage.
    Also could you post the skills for Demon Slayer asap, but you dont need to rush take your time of needed :)

  10. I don't know why some people complains about this job lol.

    From the start when the Legend class was released started with Aran. We all knew there were 4 more other characters from the Legend Class who fought the Black Mage. Evan came after Aran. And now it is finally the turn for the Bowman to shine. So I don't get why some people has to complain.

    Those people are going to complain again when Pirate and Thief Legend are going to be released. We all know they will and are going to be released in the future.

    And since we know there is a 3rd Pirate explorer, the Cannonshooter, we can expect there will be a 3rd bowman too to make the explorer team completed.

    It isn't hard to guess anymore what Nexon is planning.

    Anyway, I am interested in the jobs Mercedes and Demon Slayer. I ll play Canonshooter too. They all look fun to me.

  11. How is the mercedes terrible? It's basically a mix of a dualblade and an archer, no more people choosing dualblades just so they can destroy in pvp.
    Flash jump And mobbing skill at first job? cmon
    and have you seen these skills? they'll destroy at pvp, and why wouldn't you want to shoot up a ladder instead of climbing it, very...very..slowly? and a skill that ignores 100% of an enemy's defence? And it's passive? why whine and complain? this class is nothing short of great!

    the only downside is that i bet whiney, noob lvl 20 mages and warriors will cry their eyes out and nexon will have to prevent these annoying creeps from quitting by taking away the mercedes' best area of effect skill, just as they've done with dawn warriors and dualblades
