Minecraft 1.7: The Adventure Update

Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson hasn't fully revealed all the specifics of the update but it's already evident that this update is shaping up to be a game changer. With most of the core elements virtually being complete, the Minecraft developers are now focusing on refining the content and providing more goals, achievements and aims.

"Most of the basics of the game engine is in place, so it’s time to flesh this game out into something more gamey. More content, more exploration, more things to do, and interesting combat! Once this update is out, there will only some tweaks, optimisations and code cleanups left to the core game before we can call it a full release," says Notch on his blog. NPC villages will be a revolutionary inclusion in this update along with randomly generated dungeons and new biome code. Not only that, but the update will include the ability to sprint, produce critical hits, provide more farming options and a fully working creative mode will be in order.

There is currently no targeted release date however Notch states that it is coming very soon. What else do you think is coming in this update? Keep a look out for Notch's Facebook, Twitter and his blog for more leaks on the content of this fabulous update! Let me know what you think of this update in the comments below!
